“What should I look for when hiring a newborn photographer?”

I’m dedicated to providing a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for you and your baby. “What can I expect during a newborn photography session?”
During a newborn photography session, I’ll work to create a comfortable and safe environment for your baby, and guide you through the posing process. You can include your family members in the photos, and I encourage parents and siblings to participate in this special moment. If you have any specific poses or sentimental items you would like to include in mind, I’m always happy to incorporate your ideas and preferences into the session.
To capture the best moments, it’s important to schedule your newborn photography session as early as possible, ideally within the first two weeks of your baby’s life. I recommend booking your session as soon as possible during your pregnancy to ensure availability.
“Do I need to bring anything?”
You don’t need to bring much to a session with me as most of the items your baby will need will be provided by the studio, including props, backdrops, fabrics, headbands and bonnets! You just need to bring baby essentials: diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers and anything else for baby’s comfort.
“How much does newborn photography cost?”
As you begin searching for a newborn photographer, you’ll find a wide range of prices and packages that can feel overwhelming and seem like a significant investment. Newborn portraiture is a specialized service that requires a lot of time, effort and equipment. The more experienced photographers tend to be priced higher since there is a significant investment of many years of education and experience, cost of equipment, insurance and all the props, fabrics and accessories that fill the studio so you have all the options to choose from for your session. I understand the importance of budgeting but the most important factor I encourage you to consider is your photographer’s education and experience in safely posing newborns.
